Join us on a mini-bus trip visiting the latest pub brought into community ownership !
Dear reader, You will have heard us mention that there are over 200 community-owned pubs in the country, so we thought it would make sense to visit one!
The Fox at Ryton is one of the most recently opened community pubs - and it’s in Shropshire.
Join us on Saturday, 7th February. We will leave from outside the Cross Guns at 1pm and return from the pub at approximately 5.00pm. The Fox has a selection of real ales and wines, but isn’t currently serving food. Pre-booking essential.
Tickets are £25 including a welcome drink!
If you like a wee tipple and are interested in learning more about community pubs, join us on this reconnaissance mission. Please email us on info@crossguns.org.uk or click the button below ASAP so we can gauge potential numbers. We will share a PayPal link for payment once we have enough people to proceed.

A Quick Update !
Since the last newsletter, we have submitted the paperwork to officially set up the Cross Guns Community Benefit Society and we now have seven initial directors to take the project on to the next stage.
The business plan for the re-opened Cross Guns is nearing completion and we are starting to think about the Community Share Offer, that you will be invited to invest in.
We do have some costs to carry at the moment, so if you or your business would be willing to talk to us about a donation, please do get in touch.

Enjoy Dry January – in a Pub!
There is a trend of giving up alcohol for the month of January, the so-called Dry January. For many people this is an important New Year’s Resolution and thanks to the wide range of alcohol-free beers, wines and spirits and tasty mocktails, a resolution many people can stick to and still visit their local.
