Dear reader, can we take this opportunity to wish you and everyone a really happy Christmas and say a massive ‘Thank you’ for your support so far.
|
Wouldn’t it be great if this time next year, we’re all coming together to celebrate the festive season in our own village pub?
|
|
If you want to see the Cross Guns open again as a vibrant pub and community hub, then a community purchase is currently the best option to make that happen.
|
If we don’t buy the pub, who knows who will. If it isn’t sold it could stand empty for years and be an eyesore in the middle of the village like the Four Crosses and if it is sold to a private purchaser there’s no guarantee they will take the community’s wishes into consideration in what they offer.
|
|
If you’re thinking, “I don’t need to get involved as I’m sure there’ll be others in the village who will” then what if those ‘others’ are all thinking the same thing? Please don’t leave it to others. Let us know if you or your business is willing to invest to secure a future for the Cross Guns.
|
|
Our small team of volunteers will be working until January 2026 on creating the business plan to show what a community-owned Cross Guns could offer the village.
|
Soon thereafter, we hope to launch a community share scheme so that people can turn their generous pledges into real money that we can use to buy the pub on behalf of us all.
|

The Cross Guns Needs You Now?

As a community business, the Cross Guns will need a dedicated team of directors to run the business and ultimately speak on behalf of the people of Pant.
|
|
|
|
|

Funds needed now!
|
The proceeds from the December Pop-up Pub – as well as future ones – will go towards the Save the Cross Guns campaign. In order to progress our bid for the Cross Guns we already need funds for business admin, marketing, publicity, surveyors, professional advice etc, etc!
