Christmas Family Pop-Up Pub

Help save the Cross Guns!

Many of you will have already been to one of the pop-up pubs held at Pant Memorial Hall while the Cross Guns has been closed.

Not only are these events a great way to meet up with your friends, neighbours and other locals in the community, they also show the need for a community meeting space like the Cross Guns.

The next pop-up pub is taking place on Friday, 12^th December with an unashamedly Christmas theme for everyone to enjoy.

Doors open at 5.30 at the memorial hall and we are especially keen to see families coming along – in their best Christmas jumpers!

There will be both prizes for children and adults, with the children’s prize being announced at 6.30 and the adult winner at 8.30pm.

We will also be holding a fundraising raffle with a selection of seasonal prizes. This will have the serious aim of raising much needed money so that we can bid to bring the Cross Guns into community ownership.

We are already very grateful to a number of local people and businesses that have already donated cash to help us pay for meeting room hire and other essential expenses, so please buy your raffle tickets to help support us – and there are some excellent prizes too!

As usual this pop-up pub is ‘Bring Your Own Bottle’ and there will be a burger van in the car park.

We will have mince pies and seasonal spiced punch (alcohol free) for sale to bring a real flavour of Christmas to the hall. The hall’s Christmas lights are up outside the hall and there’s a Christmas tree in the hallway – but why not bring your own tinsel and decorate your table, to really get in the spirit?
