Happy New Year from the Cross Guns
We hope you have had a wonderful Christmas break and that you didnโt miss visiting the Cross Guns too much!
Behind the scenes, we have been busy working up a business plan for a reopened Cross Guns and setting up the business structure that we need to run it.
These two things alone run to 65+ A4 pages and have kept the founder members busy.
The plan is for the Cross Guns to become a family-friendly, traditional country pub with a daytime cafรฉ, serving all sections of the community. We aim to encourage more local residents and visitors to use the Cross Guns by providing high-quality service at affordable prices.
When โ or if โ Admiral Taverns accept our offer to buy the freehold, we need to be ready with the money to purchase it. Thatโs why we have been asking for pledges so that we can gauge the level of enthusiasm locally.
In February, we are going to launch a community share offer so you can buy real shares and become a member of the newly formed Cross Guns Community Benefit Society.
These shares will be available to all local people, businesses and supporters of the pub, so we really hope that you will want to play your part in securing the future of the pub.
