The Bell Inn
The Bell’s future was in doubt in late 2012, when the previous owner put the property and business on the market. Two packed public meetings helped create the momentum which has now seen the pub “owned by people who love, live and breathe The Bell” with £700k raised through community share
Gwestry Pengwern
In February 2009 the Pengwern closed its doors, some feared for the last time. At a public meeting held shortly before it closed it was decided to establish a community social enterprise in order to reopen the hotel: Pengwern Cymunedol Cyf.
White Lion
Purchased by the local community, and re-opened after a period of closure and renovation in May 2018. There are now 250+ local shareholders of this 17th century pub in a quiet village who must be pleased with the transformation that has taken place.
